Cougar Cubs 3/4 Year Old Tee Ball Program
2015 was an exciting and groundbreaking year for the KLMBGC Baseball Club as it marked the inagural season of our "Cougar Cubs" Tee Ball Program for 3 and 4 year old girls and boys. The Cougar Cubs Program is designed to introduce young boys and girls to softball and baseball by providing them with the fundamental skills of these sports in a fun and safe environment. We are excited to expand and enhance the program for 2016!!!
The 2016 Cougar Cubs season will consist of three phases: Skills and Drills, Team Practices, and Games.

Phase 1: Skills and Drills. This phase will consist of a series of skill and drill sessions to teach the kids the vital points of the game. Kids will be divided into small groups to allow for a low player to coach ratio - ensuring every child gets the attention they need. The drills will be fun for the kids so that they actually enjoy learning the key points of the game.

Phase 2: Team Practices. This phase will consist of the kids being divided into teams. The players will then participate in team practices with their team. At this point the instruction will focus more on game play, while still reinforcing the fundamental skills learned during phase 1.

Phase 3: Games. The third phase will consist of the teams playing Tee Ball games with modified rules for their age group. The goal of the Cougar Cubs program is to prepare our kids for Baseball and Softball, so it is important our players learn that there are rules and regulations to be followed! PG County Boys and Girls Club Tee Ball rules will be altered to better suit our Cubs' age level.
The exact dates and timeframes for the program will depend on many factors, to include the weather, how the kids are progressing, etc. Check the site for updates.
